IL FAUT expresses a need, an obligation. It can be followed by a noun or a verb in the infinitive form.Examples:

The infinitive is the non-conjugated form of the verb. These are, for example, verbs that end in: -ER, -IR or -RE. Examples: manger, jouer, venir, finir, prendre, entendre, etc.
An infinitive is used after "il faut" but also after a preposition (à, de, pour...).Examples: C'est facile à faire. Je n'ai pas le temps de travailler. Je travaille pour payer mes études. Find out more:
